THE STORY
The dream of independence for Lativa came in 1991 but it has become an economic nightmare as families struggle to find a quality of life in a new market economy. Aleksej Fedjukovs, a migrant worker from Seda, paid an agency to find him a job anywhere in Europe. It happened to be Belfast. The Farther, The Dearer is a personal insight into sacrifice, patience and hope and follows Aleksej over a year and a half as he works to get his young family settled in Ireland.

THE STORY
"Journey of Equals" is a film documenting the human spirit that goes deep beyond the physical, mental and cultural differences we all have as human beings.

The film is a snapshot of a two year journey featuring musicians living within Northern Ireland representing various communities whose lives have collided through the good relations music project 'Motion'.

Every human being is on a journey to find their place in the world and though 'Journey of Equals' uses music as a common thread, the greater underlying message is that we ALL have the need to feel valued in participating in the theatre of life.

The project has been developed through a series of workshops with participation with musicians representing various cultural backgrounds; directed & produced by Carol Moore in partnership with organisation 'Beyond Skin' and edited by Kevin McDonald.

GUINNESS SIZE ME (80mins) - EDIT ASSISTANT

THE STORY
Anyone who has seen Morgan Spurlock's excellent documentary about the perils of surviving on only McDonald's for a month, Super Size Me, will know that not only is variety the spice of life, but you will also die without it.

So, in what must stand as one of the unique Irish twists on that original tale comes Guinness Size Me, the deranged idea of two young film-makers from Belfast, Robert James and Chris Kelly.

The pair filled their car up with crates of Guinness and headed around the country in a picaresque journey which saw them consume only the black stuff.
